Influenced by his father who enjoyed bread making as a hobby, Chef Tanaka became interested in pastry from an early age. After joining renowned Japanese confectionery company Seijo Fugetsudo and patisserie Maison Souvenir, Chef Tanaka decided to enroll in confectionery school, Tokyoto Kashigakuen in 2003. The following year, he joined the team at Grand Hyatt Tokyo. Honing his skills in chocolates, confectioneries and wedding cakes, he was promoted to Pastry Chef in 2011. In February 2017, Chef Tanaka was appointed Pastry Chef at Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills.
